About Us
Following 12 years of working for Surveying and Project management companies as Surveyor, Senior Building Surveyor and RICS Valuer, Chris made the move to establish ‘Chris Hodgson Surveyors’ in 2007. This allowed him to offer a wholly Independent Chartered Building Surveying and Valuation service.
Situated close to Walsall in the West Midlands since 2011, this business continues to the present day and always aims to be keenly competitive in both service and price.

B.Sc (Hons)
Having spent his formative years working in the Construction industry, gaining important practical experience in buildings of all types. Chris gained City & Guilds , Craft & Advanced Craft Certificates leading on to the City & Guilds Licentiateship in Construction Studies.
In the Nineties, Chris then undertook a Higher National Certificate in Building Studies and studied Building Surveying at Degree Level, attaining a B.Sc. (Honours) Degree and then made the move from Construction to the Professional side of Building, including becoming a Professional Member of RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) in 2001.
